  1. Just finished the first coat of dye, sponged on a 2:1 water to dye coat, then brushed a 1:1 watered dye into the tool marks, etc and then a full strength coat on the background, will finish it up tomorrow!
  2. I just finished it with some aussie conditioning cream...
  3. This is my second attempt at tooling leather, it is about 8" x 11" on 7-9oz veg-tan, the original design is a piece I found online, I don't know who did it so I can't give credit (it was a pencil drawing I believe) but I liked it so much I decided to give it a shot in leather, hope I did the artist proud! Now to decide how to dye it, Hi-Lite, Antique Gel, Block Dyeing???
  4. Here is where I got the dimensions for the case... https://snapguide.com/guides/create-a-cylindrical-leather-case-for-glasses/
  5. Well here are the pics, thought I uploaded them but I guess it didn't work...
  6. I finally finished my first real leatherworking project, a cylindrical glasses case, 9 oz Veg Tan for the outside, 5 oz for the side pieces, both dyed Java Brown, and lined with black pig skin suede. I love how it turned out and I am now officially addicted to leatherworking! Here's a second shot of it!
