trapperack Report post Posted February 25, 2008 hello! i am new to the forum and am looking for a fur sewing machine. bonis, techsew . i have 25 racoon tanned and want to make a coat for my daughter. what i need is a sewing machine that will sew a blanket stitch in leather. the big part of the problem is i can't spend a fortune on a machine that will only be used a few times. ( maybe a hat and gloves for dad! ) i am good with my hands so a machine in need of repair might be the way to go. anyone have a fur machine they would like to get rid of ???????? Might want to check here, ebay etc etc. The new techsew bonis replica looks VERY nice. I have yet to sew on one, but REALLY want to! If you get one, please give me a full report! ( it got snipped ). a friend of mine who owns a tannery claims i should be able to find a cheap one in the "garment district". he is looking for some contacts but i am not holding my breath. i have been watching ebay, craigs list, here, ect. ect. that is why i decided to post here. sometimes people have items in the basement they no longer use and kinda "forget" about them. thanks for the info! sounds like your the guy i might need to talk to if i find one in need a repair. hopefully i can figure it out myself first! If you want one you can't find them no matter how hard you try, and if you don't want or need one, well they are dropping out of the sky all around you. Keep watching Craig's list too.
