    New Dog~

Hi Tom~ and thanks! I actually DID find the 103 there~ now to search for an exploded view to put pics to the parts, and help me learn a new language. In my surfing I did find that the 103 was the first 111w to have a feed dog~ is that correct? If so, any first edition issues/design flaws to be concerned with?
  2. A lot of good valid points of conjecture here but there's a few facets missing to this gem of a post~ and probably most are end-user and fabricator related. But I'm just wondering~ where can you still buy bell-bottom pants to hide this bovine work of art? JK.... I'll take it on if he doesn't mind working with the left coast~! Peace~ Scott
  3. For other nuBs, or those just needing.... http://parts.singerco.com/IPinstManuals/ Moderator, is this in the right spot~ or where to post tech info?
  4. I'm a nuB here~ sorry for resurrecting this old post. This is a 111w115? It looks just like my 111w103...? Also, it seems to be the consensus here that the 111's spin too fast. I'm going to use mine exclusively for leather/vinyl/fabric upholstery~ no gun scabbards or saddle repair for this retired cowboy! Will speed still be an issue? How important is it to have reverse?

    New Dog~

Thanks, JJ~ it's a start! I did find a bobbin cover I need~ mine's frozen in place, and it looks like someone tried to drive it out with a millface framing hammer.... Peace~ Scott P.S.~ nice trike! One project slated for the machine is to fab up my own seat for my fatboy.... .
  6. Welcome to LW albyneau. You will be glad you found this site, I know I was; plenty of info!

    New Dog~

New to the forum here~ howdy folks! Picked up a Singer 111w103 a while back, refinishing the table now, and just about ready to start playing with it. I'd love to find an operator's manual(paper or PDF) so as not to stitch my fingers together, source parts (just in case), and maybe get some clues as to the pros -n- cons of this particular machine. TIA~ Scott
