  1. Hello, I am new to leather work and have no experience in saddle making but I want to attend a saddle making school to learn how to make saddles. At this point I don't have plans to become a professional saddle maker for a living, but I would like to have the ability to make a few saddles a year as a hobby. I would be using my GI bill benefits to cover the tuition. There are only two saddle school's that accept the GI Bill. They are: Pete's Custom Saddlery in Kentucky (Pete Harry), and Montana Horseman Saddle Building School in Montana (Dale Moore). I have e-mailed with both of them and looked at all of the reviews which are all great. I'm trying to decide which school to go to. I would appreciate any comments/recommendations on either one of these schools. Rob
