  1. Like it.....Good call on a workin honda...
  2. The applique is the simulated 8 strand that can be found in the Bruce Grand Encylopedia...As far as gauging the holes, just eyeball....cut the wet burner to leave just under a 1/4 inch even gap and it will pull snug as one tightens up the braid/lace pattern... Thanks TA
  3. Black flint hide with coffee stained edge lacing.... Thanks for looking.... TA
  4. Hey all.... I have(had, as I can't find it) an old Frank Hansen folded Honda. Anyone have a pattern for folded hondas different than the fine example already pinned here? Mine was just a basic three fold, with a tuck. Have some scrap from just cutting a black hide and would like to try to build a replacement.... Thanks, TA
  5. Useful info...Thinkin about contrasing alternating buttons on a project.... Thanks, Trav
  6. Nice tip!!! I will use this....Have a few small projects to do, and this will be my "go to" on them... Thanks!!!
  7. Have never used the belting...Will have to try it....Done a small twist, and 4 strand braided cores I do agree that reins to need some life to them... I own quite a few sets, never have used any of mine long enough to really tell what kind of "life" they have....Have my favorites braided by buddies or my cousins that are on my "go to" bridles....
  8. Have done both....What is your preference??? Have some string ready and going to make a couple of sets up for trading/sale.... Will be 8 strand reins, 12 strand romals....
  9. Should make for some good grass, If it warms up...But to answer, YES!!!
