Dove Wing Spur Straps

Here is the latest pair off the bench. I would like to thanks Steve Brewer for sending me the pattern. I took some time to work up a carving pattern that I l liked and this is it.

Good design Mark. I really like how that borderline becomes the stem. Clean job all the way around.

I had these made by Ken Cureton from Glenrock WY I also get them made by Wages Silversmiths in CA.

Here is how the backs look and also how the back of the concho looks.

thanks for the pic of the backs of the straps and the concho i would have never thought the concho was like that

is that a custom made or can i get conchos like that at the saddle shop

I agree I have never seen conchos like that. I would have assumed that they just had chicago screw backs, but definitely a cool way to attach the straps to the spurs basically underneath the concho. The only problem though would be if you had real fancy buttons on the hangers of your spurs, they would be covered by the conchos. But still very cool spur straps

First I`d like the straps very well...nice work...

but one question... why had you made the "holes for the spurs" so "high" ... I`ve never seen it that way before...

I really like the straps, Mark, you did a good job on them. I like the tooling design....it's thinking a little out of the box....it's different, creates interest and looks really nice.
