vinegar to dye leather black

OK! So the vinegar steel wool mix is very nice but that smell how long does that take to get the h### out of the leather and is there a way to help it out of there.

Jbird. I find it goes away relatively quickly, like in a day or so. If possible put the leather in a well ventilated area.

my bucket of slop is over a month old and in the beginning when the mix was fresh it was really

potent...i would let it breath every so often in the beginning per recommendation...& now its quite

mild in comparison...being aged helps as well in the long run so it seems...

did ya rinse it after??...i give my stuff a soak in a bucket of fresh water after i dip it...which reduces the smell

to a minimum...

I did rinse it but the stuff is pretty new and it stinks.
