  1. How was this bracelet made so round? I have been messing around with some edging tools but cant get any leather even close to this round... Is there something besides just an edging knife that is used? Thanks!
  2. So I have a great backpack I purchased made specially to carry Maclaptops. It has a Faux fur lining that offers great protection for thelaptop. unfortunately the bag isn't big enough to hold all my books soI purchased a big bag From oakley, the sunglass company. It has a nicebig laptop holder but the padding is REALLY sub par. Especially sinceit wil be housing my 3k laptop. So what Im looking for is basically aLining for the holder. What I Need: Real thick/long fur to offer lots of protection. REAL soft fur so it isn't abrasive on the laptop. I need the fur (assuming its going to be off a smaller animal like arabbit) sewn together in a rectangle (ill get exact measurements when Ifind someone to do this) roughly 13'' high x 24'' long. Then I need thefur Folded in half long ways (so its like 13'' x 12'') and just thebottom sew (so one of the 12" bottom sides. I obviously need the fur onthe inside. the reason for this is the bag has 2 access slots for thelaptop. one on the side and one on the top. I'm going to slide the furlining in the existing laptop compartment then sew it on 2 sides to theback (the top and the side.) Let me know if you are interested in doing this. Thanks

  4. So I decided I want to try and make a wallet. something far more complicated than anything I have tried thus far. I want a nice thick wallet. Dont ask my why but I like having my wallet feel like a tumor in my butt cheek. Gives me the security of always knowing its there. My 2 questions are A, What is the thickest leather you would go with that wont be TOO ridiculous? Again, I want this to be a nice, thick, fat wallet but i also need to be able to fold it shut. What would you guys suggest? Whatever I decide to go with im probably going to get a hide from Tandy since they are local to me here in chicago. My second question is what tool is the easiest to make those nice curved corners and the curves on the card slots? im only a few months into my new hobby but the ONLY tool I have seen for making round cuts is the "round" knives. Is this the best tool for making the round edges on the corners and card slots? any other insight that you can think of would be great as well. this design on the wallet looks simple but im still pretty nervous. should be a fun project for someone that has only made a few small things. Thanks in advance!
  5. Chicago... I have a feeling I wont be able to find too many Near Me... Ill try though, Thanks Dan.
  6. Hey guys, Thanks for the replies. I tried tandy. Nothing with the thickness I need. Also I contemplated doubling up the leather but would rather have one solid piece. Im willing to pay extra to have one piece opposed to 2. Can anyone suggest a specific supplier/person on here that could do it? Thanks again! Toggle Side Panel
