A Couple Of Straps.

Recommended Posts

I started fooling around with carving again. Its been a while since the boy scouts. Anyways a knocked out a guitar strap for a friend with some hobo nickels and railroad tracks with some flowerlies and a carnation banjo strap. I'm happy with how they turned out. I wish my friend would have had me dye some of his. Need to polish up my work a bit and exercise a bit of patience. The antiquing washed through the flowers on the carnation because I didn't let the blocking dry thoroughly (I think).

Your tooling style and artwork is awesome. Did you draw it yourself? I really like the railroad track and the art nouveau flower.

Hey, thanks! The tracks and the stem of the carnations I drew. Borrowed the actual flower from a Tandy Doodle Page.

The carnation is lovely, and I really like the flow of the train track and roses on the other strap. It makes you want to look at it twice.

Dang - in your case obviously like riding a bike, it sure came back in a hurry!

Nice work!
