Gioia Report post Posted July 28, 2008 hi, i'm a bag maker who sometimes uses leathers; mostly garment weight or slightly heavier.I need to thin leather in seams and foldovers and also when I'm covering a metal purse frame with leather.I presently do not have a skiver.I used to have a Fortuna, but not any more.Is there anyone with experience who can do this for me for a fee...?,,,or is there anyone near me(Fairfield, Ct.) that is willing to allow me to skive my own pieces on their machine for a fee?I am pretty desperate.
