Thanks everyone. Roger, I've been using BIC permanet markers on some things. There holding up surprisingly well especially the seat on my bike. I'll have to post a pic.

i've heard of guys using markers before. they would give you great control is small areas vs dye

Here's the seat I used the marker on. It's been on my bike about 3 months or so. The wife and I really have to invest in a better camera.DSCF1801.JPG
