  1. Got someone to do this job.
  2. Looking to have some prototype pieces cut before I order a die. Specs: 8oz leather (no preference in color, mixed colors is fine) Pieces are 4" from point to point Need 50 pieces I have an .ai avalible but it will need a bit of tweaking.
  3. Adding these to ebay http://www.ebay.com/sch/padiscenza/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  4. Mike516: Ok that makes way more since, having seen a terra cotton roof only a couple of times I don't think in that direction at all. I more being lazy than clever as I used the same background as I do for most of the armor. When my current work load lightens up I'll retake the picture on a solid navy blue backgroud, about a month on that. I tried to include most of the condition, measurements, and other important bits of info in the actual item description. Didn't want a mile long description in the selection screen plus the coding makes it easier to grab the correct die for shipment or to answer questions.
  5. Sorry for the slow responses. Mike516: I'm not sure what you mean by 'roof'. If by chance you meant that the photos were taken from far away, I was attempting to get the entire die into the picture at one time. Reviewing them again my choice of background is terrible and I should reshoot them with a more netural color. 50 years leather: Alot of these I have no clue what the orginal maker had in mind for them. Figured someone out there might have a better idea than I.
  6. Bump because I've added a couple more. Also got Celtic/Runic stamp sets in stock (29 sets as of the post 9/18)
  7. Got a bunch of clicker dies at an auction. Got the ones I needed and would like to sell off the rest. Looking for $30 per die +shipping costs, unless othewise noted http://www.scrapworksarmory.com/store/c13/Clicker_Dies.html If you order more than $200 then coupon "RagRush'' will drop 15% off the order
  8. Any chance of this machine being in the midwest? I have been looking for a heavy sewing machine as well.
  9. Be careful with Texas Custom Dies. I had to send a number of my dies back because (4 of the 7 I ordered) of misplaced hole punches and over grinding of welds.
  10. When I ordered my lamellar die from Texas Custom it was just over $100. The cost really depends on the complexity/size of the design and number of holes. You might be able to save a couple dollars by getting the outline made and punching/drill the holes yourself. What is the design you are going for?
  11. Managed to pick up 9 new Runic punch sets from Tandy. These were discontinued in 2006 and have been difficult to find. The stamp runes are 3/4" tall and are in the Elder Futhark alphabet. I'm asking $75 per set. https://www.etsy.com...abet-stamp-set?
  12. I've been making armor scale for a little bit and have a die to punch the basic shape out. Its great but it doesn't punch out the 4 holes I need for riveting. Is there a DIY jig out there or company that can make a product that will do this?
  13. My first suit of scale armor with my punch. The leather is 8-9oz bridle leather and the rivets are antique nickel. It is secured at 6 point, 4 on the chest and 2 under the arm.
