Dragons Pearl Report post Posted October 2, 2007 Looking for a beginner/intermediate filigree pattern for a billfold, if there is such an animal. I want to try one and the free pattern shown on the Tandy site just doesn't feel right to me. Course it could just be the coloring that is used on it. ClayB Report post Posted October 2, 2007 A lot of patterns could work to filagree instead of background, but not all. You have to be careful that you dont cut out parts that hold the pattern together, or leave pieces just hanging. Johanna Report post Posted October 3, 2007 I saw some stencils in the new Tandy catalog, and I know Hobby Lobby has a bunch of stencil patterns in stock. Like Clay said, just watch that you aren't taking out too much and damaging the structure, and you can make a filigree pattern.
