Table Top For Singer 29K53

Does anyone know where I could buy or get plans for a wooden table top to fit my SInger 29K 53 pathc machine.

I usually use it to sew inside pockets and sleeves but would like the option to use it with a bigger tabletop surface.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Grizz; There are two small hooks on the base on either side of the arm. If you screw two L brackets to a piece of plywood that you have cut out so that it fits around the arm, they will hook on the machine hooks. The other end just needs a leg that will sit in the odd looking notch in the left end of the base. A strip of belt leather screwed to the underside of the plywood, close to the hooks, and going under the arm will keep it from kicking up at the base of the machine. I put a hinge on the leg so I could slip the table on and then flip leg down and into notch in base. Works for me, good luck. Gump.

I have one that I picked up for my Singer 29K70 somewhere along the line that is similar to the description that Gump gave you. I don’t know who made it, but it works pretty well for converting to a flatbed, even though the table is about an inch below the arm and there’s a gap on both sides of the arm. I think the original owner made it or modified it that way on purpose. On light-weight fabrics or leather, it will hold up the garment, but still allow the sleeve to be slid over the arm for a ways. I don’t use my machine for a flatbed much.

I need to replace the hooks on it with different ones that will let the pillar end of the top hang down further. My use of the table is usually to help support a garment while sliding a sleeve over the arm, so I need it to be slightly below the arm all of the way across so I can get further into the sleeve.
