  1. I have seen the hat pattern on the Tandy website. I think I am going to order it. I think i have have all the dimensions worked out. I am going to make a poster board model before I cut any leather. What I do not know is the best way to attach the brim to the crown. I tried attaching a photo in my post of Clint Eastwood wearing the hat, but I am new to this and I haven't quiet got the hang of it yet. I plan on using 1/8" leather for the brim and a lighter weight leather for the crown. I am a novice leather worker. I got intrested in it as kid when my uncle gave me a leatherworking set he had back in the late 60's. He bought it at the Tandy store in Memphis. I caught the bug again when I strated shooting a muzzle loader. I am not to far from you here in Tupelo. I am looking forward to getting back up to the Tandy store there. We usually have lunch at Huey's. Thank you for your help.
  2. I am new to this forum. It apperars there are many talented people here. I am a novice at leather working but I am looking for information on construting a leather hat. Not just any hat mind you but one like the one worn by Clint Eastwood in the Movie "Two Mules for Sister Sarah" (see attached photo) I think I have figured out the construction details with the exception of attaching the crown to the brim. I would appreciate any ideas you have about constructing leather hats in general.
