  1. Hello Odin, For what it's worth, here is a pdf I have found. Comments are in French but the pictures may be quite talking for themselves : http://www.decocuir.com/Files/26684/Collier_pour_chien.pdf As you are talking about a Saint Bernard, you might choose for a large piece of leather so he/she won't be strangled with it. Dwight is quite right, depends of what you intend to do with the collar : just tag your dog or control it with the leash. If you want to control it, you might then better choose for a harness than a collar (I had Setters and I quickly moved to harnesses when they dragged me along twice, so I can't imagine what it's like with a St Bernard ) The interest of this template is that they use 2 layers of leathers to make the collar. Hope this helps. Don't forget to post pics of the beast with his/her new collar Cheers
  2. Wow ! This is how they made the extermity of the handles ? Impressive ! Do you know how you will fix it on the handle ?
  3. Hello all, First I'm not talking about bumping your car to have it embossed (terrible joke but I had to do it first ). I am more interested in understanding how you can emboss a logo or any forms in a thick leather skin used for seats or headrest : or like I'm trying to learn to make it on my car (caterham seven from 1997) but after few attemps using double layered foam, stitching the form from behind... well the results are not that conclusives. So I was wondering if someone could point me to some books to learn this very specific matter of form modeling/embossing with leather in seats and any surface that need thick skin. Thank you a thousand in advance. Cheers
  4. Hallo Krystian, Your main problem here will be : can you dismount the steering wheel. Whatever you choose: recovering it or reparing it, you'll have to dismount it in order to work on the wheel. The fact this contains an Airbag system is really not helping (and I hope the electronic has plugs in order to take out the wheel... About the leather on your actual wheel, it's used. Sweat has burned the leather and as they are made of one piece, it's quite impossible to repair it. You'll have only, in my humble opinion, the choice between covering it or replacing it completely. Depends of the size of the driver's hands. If he can still hold firmly with an added layer of leather, covering is better. But frankly you would spend more time into trying to restaure it with very poor result, while changing it would be much "easier". Thus
  5. Hello KarlB, Can you please show me a drawing of the "Turk Head" you want to do ? (sorry, I'm french and sometime I got trouble understanding expressions ) As for the wheel, could you please send me a zoom on the stichings ? Here is an example a friend of mine has done for his car : I'm not that expert (learning to make my new job by making all the interior of my own car ) but if I can, I'll be more than happy to share what I have found / learned. Cheers
