Any particular reason you didn't burnish the edges? What finish did you apply?

Cool design, I like how you appear to have used full interior overlaps at the sides and such instead of simply sewing at the intersections, should be quite strong that way. My only negative comment would be to agree with Ferg...with such care taken in the construction and using such a nice piece of leather, to not burnish the edges leaves it feeling incomplete.

Wow! Any chance of having more pictures? I.E Interior and sides? I like the look of unburnished edges but wonder how it's going to age.

I've made tiny box pouches for a utility belt using what appears to be about the same pattern. Never crossed my mind to go big and turn it into a briefcase...but of course that's brilliant!

For some reason, to me , the unfinished edges look good on this particular bag . . Like everybody else here i wanted to see some more pics...the back side ...interior...

My guess for the construction would be from a T shape, something like this (much rougher!) satchel I made for my wife...
