Altoids Pouch For Bk2 Knife

Recommended Posts

I just finished another small project while vacationing in a cabin. Had to keep it simple. The aim was to create a pouch that will fit my current BK2 sheath and try and keep it simple and natural. I did not use any dye, but just used neatsfoot oil and a leather balm finish. The back of the pouch does not have any belt slots, but rather slots matching up to the sheath for Velcro to attach it to the sheath. Any comments will be appreciated.

You're very welcome only thing I would have done differently is bevel all the visible edges and use and edge slicker on them to give the edges a nice rounded finish to them but it doesn't detract from the piece at all it would just help give it more of a finished look that's just my 2 cents though so take it as you will I still love the thing :D

You are correct that the edges could be a bit better. Some of the edges have been beveled and burnished, but with one of them I had some problems. I just got it to a point where it was acceptable to me. The little tabs on the side was a last minute idea to make it different from other pouches I have seen. It is one of those pieces that will be in the outdoors and will get scuffed up. I will just have to accepts the blemishes.

Thanks for the advise.
