This is my first posting of any of my work. I am every green at tooling, but this was a fun little project. I hope everyone enjoys seeing this as I have not seen anything similiar on the site yet.

Please enjoy.

MadMax22-

Thank you for asking it means alot to have someone with your experience and ability to ask.

When I read the new Tandy Book Coloring with Eco-Flo it and a small piece about mixing chopped leather and shavings with Leather weld to make a round knife handle. So I figured if it would work for a knife why not a pen. What I did was stain some scraps. Then I beveled the tops and bottoms, then grooved them to get more material. After I had a nice handful I cut it up with a scissors to keep the pieces short. Then mixed it with the leather weld and put on the Brass sleeve used to make a pen. Let it dry and turned them. My first attempt I had issues with it coming off the brass. To fix this I used CA glue (Super Glue) to re-attach. I found that the short strains are better than chucks, they pop out and leave a hole. The red plastic and the Tambootie wood are because it still chucks out.

Crystal & dscott-

Thanks for the kind words.
