  1. People have noticed the link below the "here" isn't there; it's always in my signature at the bottom. I'm going to try to get the list of the duplicates/rare "Al's & Barrs" up soon too- been house hunting overseas & eating good food for a week!
  2. Adding some pictures: Theres more if you need them.(Just figured out the bulk uploader!)

    Hi Folks!

Me too! LWN has grown so much and I'm glad- I had fears earlier this year that the economy would kill off business for people (heck it made me lose my home) and places like LWN are necessary camps!
  4. I have a couple of sets of Tandy Carving Tools (All the newer steel remakes) that I'm selling. I have a buyout of $650.00 each set, but they are listed below under auction at $500.00 starting. That breaks the tools down to about $2.00 each, and if it goes through the auction they'd go for as little as $1.50 (Which is under what I invested into them) Each set has no duplicates, and they are all unused and new. I have pictures if you need to see them. I'd even consider dropping the auctions if someone wanted both sets, or made a reasonable offer on either, as long as there arent any bids- they are set to relist. I hope someone can get use out of them, and even better, someone new looking to get started!

    Lousy Service

You ought to see how ugly it is on the "inside". Customers arent stupid.

    Hi Folks!

God I don't know where to start... HELLO! I'd like to introduce myself and hopefully now that life has gotten better (newborn, moving soon, etc) get active again. I'm an old sod of a leather worker who is just starting to get back on his feet again after some pretty hefty drama that I'm sure we all have been accustomed to in the last few years of this poor economy. I did my time as a Tandy/The Leatherfactory/Tandy-Leatherfactory manager and since moved on to other endeavors- sort of. Leatherwork is back to what I enjoyed the most out of it, a pastime, although some of my business interests apply too. I'd like to first say, I'm real ecstatic about how well LWN has progressed, I haven't been on in almost a year and somewhere my old prior to some change info is long gone. No worries- congrats to the community here and the site operators! I'm not doing nowhere near as much leatherwork as I'd like to, and as a matter of factly I'm actually getting rid of alot of my stuff because I'm going to be moving and I had a bit of self realization hit me. I got too much stuff. I ran a store for awhile too, and after that did alot of brokering of going out of business situations. Enough of that though! Theres alot of knowledgeable folk here already, so I hope I can add something to it. See you all around, and one last thing: It's nice to be back again!
  7. Too Much Typing!

  8. The actual auction is here: Theres a buy-out of $1500.00 set, but in the name of haggling, it's been added to the auction. I'm familiar with similar sets being sold for alot more. I have full images of all of these magazines on the Auctions Bazaar Community Site Not all of the images are shown on this page! (Images at bottom) (Only because I found a remaining box of about 30 that I had to photograph later. Again, those are all shown in the full album at the address above.) This is a rare collection of leather magazines "Make it with Leather", "The Leather Craftsman" and "The Craftsman", dating back to the early 1960's. All are in good condition considering the age, and alot are like new. Most were collected by my father and passed down to me, some collected by me, and a few given to me over the years. I hope the person or institution winning this auction gets as many, if not more years of enjoyment than me and my family has from this collection. I've taken care of them, they have provided many years of enjoyment and increased my knowledge 10 fold. Serious buyers, inquiries welcome. I also have some duplicates (especially the rare ones or ones with leathercraft industry significance), those will also be listed in other auctions. Below is a list of the dates: The Leather Craftsman 1962: Jan/Feb 1965: July/Aug 1966: May/June 1967: Nov/Dec 1968: Sept/Oct 1969: Jan/Feb 1971: Mar/Apr May/June 1985: Nov/Dec 1986: Jan/Feb Mar/Apr May/June July/Aug Sept/Oct Nov/Dec 1987: Jan/Feb Mar/Apr May/June July/Aug Sept/Oct Nov/Dec 1988: Jan/Feb Mar/Apr May/June July/Aug Sept/Oct Nov/Dec 1989: Jan/Feb Mar/Apr May/June July/Aug Sept/Oct Nov/Dec 1990: Jan/Feb Mar/Apr The Craftsman 1963: July/Aug Sept/Oct Nov/Dec 1964: Jan/Feb Mar/Apr May/Jun Sept/Oct Nov/Dec 1965: Jan/Feb Mar/Apr July/Aug 1966: May/Jun 1967: May/Jun Nov/Dec 1968: May/Jun Sept/Oct 1969: Jan/Feb 1971: Mar/Apr May/Jun Sept/Oct Nov/Dec 1972: Mar/Apr May/Jun July.Aug Make it with Leather 1974-75: Dec/Jan 1975: Feb/March Apr/May June/July Aug/Sept Oct/Nov 1975-76: Dec/Jan 1976: Feb/March Apr/May Jun/July Aug/Sept Oct/Nov 1977: Jan March May July Sept Nov 1978: Jan Mar May July Sept Nov 1979: Jan March May July Sept Nov 1980: Jan Mar May July Sept Nov 1981: Jan Mar May July Sept Nov 1982: Jan Mar May July Sept Nov 1983: Jan Mar May July Sept Nov 1984: Jan Mar May July Sept Dec 1985: Jan Feb
  9. Moved last sets to e-bay, at the reduced price. If you are interested: Have a blessed day!
  10. Just an update: 2 Sets left! Someone asked if I'd consider selling more than one set at a discount. Yep, I'd take $1275.00 for the remaining 2 sets, and if its close in the US, I'd ship them for $20. Thanks folks!
  11. Forgot to mention you can pay securely with Paypal at my store too folks... Sorry 'bout that!
  12. Full Set of 316 Leather Carving/Stamping Tools! I have 3 full sets of 316 leather carving tools from the Tandy Leather Factory. The set contains no duplicates, and all are brand new, and unused. These are all the newer, steel remakes for clean impressions. Each tool has a stock number on its handle for easy cataloging. $750.00 + Insured Shipping. That's about $2.38 USD per tool! - The retail price from Tandy is $7.99, business price $5.99 each, and "distributor" price each is $4.00. Wholesale Club members pay somewhere in between, so either way you look at it, it's a great deal. I bought these sets from a recently closed Tandy Authorized Sales Center. I have them displayed on my website, as well as a paypal option for purchasing these. You can see them at www.historicorigin.com or the direct link: http://historicorigi...thlyspec_2.html I figured I'd offer these here for a week or two before throwing them up on Ebay. You can message me here anytime or via the contact forms on my website as well. I'll update this when they sell or when I do post them to the auction site if they don't go here. Blessings!
