rosiart Report post Posted June 2, 2014 I was really interested in joesnuffle's posts on using an embossing folder to make the leather for his card wallets. Since I have all that stuff from my previous life as a rubber stamper, I decided to give it a go. I used one of the cuttlebug folders and one of the Tim Holtz ones in my original Spellbinders Wizard die cut machine and used veggie tan leather. I am really impressed with the depth I got on these. The embossing folders are double sided plastic templates that are normally used in a die cut machine to emboss a particular design on cardstock. You put the paper inside and the folder has both a positive and negative side so it gives a deep embossing when run through the die cut machine which applies pressure. I found out it works just as well with light weight veg tan leather that has been cased. Hopefully this explanation helps rather than confuses.
