Weight Lifting Belt

Recommended Posts

Had a couple of requests for these, hadn't seen any out here so I thought I'd post. I've ordered a Cowboy 3200 from Toledo Sewing Machines, had to get this out, wish I could have waited. This is a lot of hand sewing, won't do it again by hand.

it's a little over 5/16" thick, then the buckle strap is ~1/4", I used 9/10 oz Hermann Oak and laminated it flesh side to flesh side on the main belt and the strap is 8/9 oz 2-1/2" with a 2/3 oz liner. The main strap is ~48" long and the main strap is 4" wide while the lumbar support is 8" wide, the buckle and tongue straps are 2-1/2" wide. The center hole is set at 39" which was the customer's measurement for the belt so he can go up or down ~4". The thing ways over 6 lbs.

I like the design, I've owned a couple belts and usually they're cumbersome or too wide at the back, this one looks pretty versatile.

I'll be making a dip belt soon myself, stainless dees, chain and carabiners are expensive, but it's part of a milestone for me and will be like a trophy!
