should i use arcrilc resline or lether blam with atom wax?

i would like to make a holster for a pair of side cutters, because i use them alot in a day and im always misplacing them. so i want them on my side. how would i go about making a pattern? so i don't waste leather. i want it to be two pieces sewn together the wet form the top piece for a snug fit. thanks in advance.

i think they were going for a contrast of colors. it you did it all black you would loose the inlay i think. but that's my 2cents
