  1. Serena - I assume you are using the thread to sewing the paper? If so 18/3 should work. You can get it from Talas in New York, or John Neal Books. They both have websites and sell bookbinding supplies. Hope this helps.
  2. Ed, I have been using one of your new mauls for a couple of weeks. Until I received your maul I was primarily using a round maul with a tapered head. I was not totally happy with it and that is why I decided to try one of your mauls. Your maul is much better balanced and feels very natural. Your maul also works much better when I'm stamping with my Pro-Series basket and geometric stamps. I have had trouble in the past with them bouncing, especially when I'm tired and I don't hit them straight on. Your maul is less fatiguing and much more forgiving. I have several mauls and plan to eventually replace all of them with your mauls. Overall you maul is much better made, looks better and well worth the additional cost. Michael

Barra, I have found the best way to evenly lay out border stamps is to start at the ends and work to the middle. I hope this helps. Michael
  4. Akira Kurosawa's Ran three times in a row!!
  5. I have this problem when I bevel deeper than my swivel knife cuts. It may also be do to the beveler being tipped away from the cut. Hopes this helps.
  6. A Robert Beard swivel knife is a REALLY good high end swivel knife!!!
