All,

'Hides To Art' has posted their September edition of their newsletter on their website: www.hidestoart.com.

It contains a tutorial on two color round weave lacing, how to run a straight basket weave pattern and a workshop update.

The subscriber version has two Chan Geer patterns.

Upcoming issues will include patterns from Bob Beard, Pete Gorrell, George Hurst and others.

Art thank you for posting this. The site has had hits from: Canada, South Africa, Brizal, Switzerland, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Argentina, Spain, Italay, and all over the USA from edu - Mil domains. Many other places I can not tell where they are from as they come through as COOP domains.

Steve has done a great job with the newsletter. Please note the new page on the website called tooling partners. This is for groups and Guilds that want a link to the site. Please pass this information to all that will hear.

Pete Gorrell is doing a belt pattern for Oct issue. I expect it next week from him. And as you said Bob Beard is to hand over a pattern at the IfOLG show fo print around Christmas time. We are looking for other entrys for a special December issue. I will be printing how to make the Swhab at that time. If you have any thing or someone wants to enter a pattern or how to for the newsletter have them contact steve@hidestoart.com or myself kevin@hidestoart.com and we will get it into the newsletter.

Thanks again

Hides

Art,

Thanks for the notice on the newsletter. I visited the website and subscribed. I think the info was great! Definately not bad for a free subscription. It looks like it might be a good workshop to attend. I am going to have to put it on my calendar and Christmas wish list.

Thanks,

Austin

Can I make just one little suggestion about the website?

Please, pleasepleaseplease... stop the blinking! It makes it really hard to read -- off-puttingly difficult. Honestly, if I didn't know there was good information there, I'd click away as soon as I saw something blink, as it gives me headaches. I realize that you're getting a ton of hits, but do you have metrics showing how long they stay?

I hate to sound critical, so please, take this suggestion in the spirit in which it's meant -- I want you to have an attractive and usable site.

All that being said, I'm subscribing to the newsletter -- it has sone great info! Thanks!

Tina,

Whatever that is it looks pretty sharp. That two toned round weave is looking pretty good. Can you post a photo of entire project.
