I have not posted any pictures for a couple of years so I thought I would jump back on this train. This is a zipper top briefcase I just finished.

Thanks for looking,

Andy Stevens

Very nice! I just love the basketweave stamp. The inverted initials are a very nice touch.

Beautiful job Andy! There are several things I really like about this. First, I really like taking a border and converting it into a floral. It adds a lot of interest. Also I like it that you took the basketweave all the way into the floral without adding a border stamp to make the transition....I just think it is a cleaner and more professional look. Edges and stitching look great also. Very professionally done!

That is an excellent looking briefcase, nice swiveling and impressive (!) tooling!!!!

I have one minor concern and that is the silver spots/rivets where the handles are attached to the bag. Are they really necssary?? I'd like to remove or streamline them better into the design as of now they drag things down a bit BECAUSE this clearly is the work of a true craftsman and they look a bit like they were thrown in just because. The KISS rule (keep it stupid simple) tells me you'd been far better off without them or having a more discreete spot/rivet. Hmmm I also use some photography rules when looking upon things.

Another solution could be to have silver conchos or other beautiful details to balance things incorporated to the whole designconcept wich is working a bit away from the kiss rule and make it awsome kinda blinged look to it.

Just my .50 cents.

The work is absolutely great and I envy those floral skills!!!

Don't wait two years for next post, I love the bag!!!

Beautiful, Andy. Hope we don't have to wait that long for the next one. I especially like to see nice deep impressions on the basket weave stamping.

Andy,

Ditto for me... Like Bob I am a great fan in the use of other elements such as the florals for borders and tying that into designs. Great work.

Ben

I really like it. How did you do the interior?

The interior is open no dividers with a series of different sized pockets on the side sewn to the liner this was all done according to the clients needs.
