    Trying to learn everything
  1. Would like to know if any leatherworkers are in Dixie Utah? I'm in Washington. People from Hurricane, St. George, LaVerkin, Toquerville.....let's hookup!
  2. Most of my friends think I'm so old that I helped make the Grand Canyon. I didn't. I just turned 59. Next year is going to make me really depressed when I think about that number. Jeez, turning 30, I thought my life was over.....
  3. happy birthday bud

  4. Ya know, I don't think I've ever been called that before??!! Same to you!!
  5. If it's too thin, just fold it over and double it. I still don't know how well they take dyes. or even if they can be veg tanned!
  6. I'm there also, but the "image" I'm displaying is an attempt to be bizarre but it's not working 'cause too many people know me. My pic is the same as my avatar here. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile....amp;ref=profile
  7. Another "Bryan" from California, WELCOME! I'm in Orange, about 5 miles from Disneyland. Your work is wonderful! If they offer you coffee and donuts, take the coffee, beware the donuts. I think somebody's dog has been in there!
  8. It appears from the posts and votes that the majority of people that have read/voted are against such a forum as "Anything Goes." I support that. I will also support Johanna 100% on any decision she makes as should the rest of us. Without her, "we" wouldn't be here, ya know? I enjoy this website as it is!
  9. Jordan, I've been to Idlywild many, many times. My father-in-law lives in Hemet and Palm Springs is a place my wife and I go when we want a quick get-away. Cool model of house you're building!
  10. I think everything is "political." Not everything is controversial. Not everything causes great disruption. An "Anything Goes" forum might be OK, password protected and only people with 100oz skin should be allowed in. Send Johanna proof when applying.
  11. Since you're coming to So Cal, where you planning on going? Can't beat the weather here, ya know?
  12. The company I work for is small and family owned. We saw the economy going several years ago and started taking steps then to protect and position ourselves. I haven't had a raise in 4 years but because of that I haven't had a cut in pay either and my check still comes every week and doesn't bounce. Not a single penny has been added to my profit-sharing account in 3 years and that is part of my retirement (I'll never get to retire, I'm going to drop dead in the office someday). My dental benefits end at the end of this month. I think McCain would've sucked as president; maybe not quite as much as Obama, but he would've still sucked. I didn't vote for either of them. McCain was all in favor of the bailout also. That would've been no different if he'd won. So, we'd still be in the same place. Obama is more socialist than McCain, that's pretty much a given. He thinks govmint can solve our problems while I KNOW govmint is the problem. I dislike Obama because of his appointments/nominations for one thing; tax evaders kept getting nominated when they should've been in jail like any of the rest of us "little" people. He's also gone green. He drove a Chrysler 300 with a 5.7 litre V8 until he started his campaign, then he went and got a hybrid, stated having Al Gore over for lunch, appointed Cho to the Department of the Interior. All of that makes me boil!! McCain wouldn't have been much better. They all suck. Know how to tell a politician is lying? Their lips are moving. Gotta go.
  13. Rant away!! I don't like anyone telling me how to live. I think I'm doing a pretty good job of figuring it out for myself. My dad was a child of the depression of the 30's. Since they didn't own land and couldn't really raise food for themselves, and my grandfather was a mechanic that was sometimes paid with "food," my dad and grandfather hunted and put food on the table. They could sell the hides for a few extra $$$. Sorta like people had been doing for, oh say, a few THOUSAND years.
  14. This is not work or child friendly, but you just gotta love Penn and Teller.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9ijLulwUTY
  15. She is weird. She's also a fanatic. Let her do those things and I'll be very unimpressed. BTW, how many of you know that jerk bill maher is on peta's bod?
