Motorcycle Accessory Pak Vs Making Leather Cases

I have just brought from england 'making leather cases volumes 1,2 and 3, but they haven't arrived yet.

There is a motorcycle pak on ebay, and I am wondering if its worth getting, or does it just cover the same material that I will find in the leather cases?

Could someone that has seen both give me an opinion?

I have the Motorcycle Pak and Vol. 1 of the Making Leather Cases. They seem to be rather different. If you don't want to make your own patterns, the Pak the obvious choice, but the Cases volumes will be more informative of the theory behind making cases from scratch, from what I've seen.

So, what are your plans? Make cases right now, or go for a masters course in making cases. Your needs will dictate.

I was disappointed with the pattern pak. Stick with the books, then you can design anything you want to make.

This. I do "standard" bags with the pattern pak, and go to the books for custom orders. I do tend to take the patterns and modify them quite frequently.
