Edge Bevelers

Recommended Posts

I am debating between picking up either Jeremiah Watt Horseshoe Brand Tools , the Weaver Master Tools or Ron's Tools Edge Beveler.

I am looking at edgers for Holster and belt making. Holsters in the 7-10 oz range and carry belts around 1/4" thick.

Horeshoe brands 1,2,3 and 4 are different sizes than Ron's Tools 0,1,2,3,4 round edge beveler. It seems Ron's numbers are larger than J Watts in size and also the Weaver Master tool beveler. Seems like no standardization in the number sizes.

What size tools are you ordering for general holster and belt work?

For belts 9/10 oz I'm using a Ron #3 round beveler. It makes a perfect radius on the leather front and back. For thicker you may want to grab a #4. I like em and will be getting more. Don't you have to have a business tax number to buy from Weaver?
