stop the leather from puckering

Recommended Posts

How do you stop the leather from puckering around the corners when putting the leather on the seat pan?

Sawyer,

I'm assuming you are doing the wet mold technique that Beeza uses.

Try looking in this article

motorcycle seat the beeza way

It is in the How do I do that section

Sawyer, to be able to stretch the leather around the pan without leaving wrinckles or puckers, you have to wet the leather first. This will allow the leather to form around the edge of the pan. Trying to pull dry leather tightly around the pan is going to be very hard, and will result in the problems you're having.
