New Person North Of Dallas

Recommended Posts

I love the site all kinds of great info, I'm hoping to find some local leather workers. I live near McKinney Texas in the far north area of the DFW area. I've been practicing off and on for a year and feel like I did better when I first started winging it before reading up on it. My dream would be to start an apprenticeship on the weekend with someone into western or even biker style stuff. I've been to the Tandy stores in Dallas and Ft Worth and loved visiting Hidecrafters in Ft. Worth. There were several nice people that let me drool over their projects, watch, and ask questions. I'd love to find a local group or meetup of leatherworkers, like the way people just go into Hidecrafters and work on their own projects in the back on Saturdays. Ft. Worth is way to far to drive and with the price of gas I'd like to find someone local. Let me know if there's anyone close by that's up for some hammer sessions!!

Hi gparrish :)

I'm not north of Dallas yet (more a little north of FW right now), but we plan on moving back up to the Denton are next spring/summer. I know, fat lot o' good that does this year. lol

Stick around and dig around, this place is so full of info that when I think I have a question to post I have yet to not find an answer. It is awesome and so are the forumites.
