  1. Hello there, I use Herman Oak leather to make belts, collars, Etc. I'm wondering if their is any other leather I could use to craft these products. I very much do enjoy dying, waxing and conditioning the leather myself. Herman Oak seems to be the best I can find todo this. Any idea? Thanks Austyn

  5. Hello, I use 10-11oz Heavy Hermann Oak leather to make belts, suspenders, dog leashes, dog collars, ETC. I rub palm leaf wax into the leather. Then, beewax mixed with neatsfoots oil. To protect against moisture it is then finished with acrylic leather sheen. The edges are then, burnished and waxed by hand. Feed back would be nice and if anyone recommend changing this method at all, please say so! Thank you, Wolves leather Austyn.
  6. Hello friends, I'm looking into upgrading my leather supplier and I'm not sure where to start. right now I get my 10-11oz HermannOak from Springfield Co springfieldleather.com/25849/Bend%2CBelt%2CHermannOak%2CSngl%2C9-10/ and now I ask where can I find high quality hides for around the same price. I use this leather to make belts, collars, leashes, suspenders, accessories, ECT. thank you, Austyn
  7. Great! Thank you for the feedback,. im thinking about using a Naturl Veg Sheepskin for the apron, this will be between 1.5oz - 2.5oz. I'm also going to be using this for my leather work studio as well. Below is a rough sketch of my design, any feedback would be awesome. Thank you, Austyn
