Need Help With Technique To Finish Wallet Edges/boarder With Leather

Recommended Posts

HI - I'm looking for advice on finishing my wallets with the edging/lining like that of the wallet in the attached pictures. I have the leather i want and have it thinned to a workable gauge, but am having problems with how to sew/cut to form neatly around the edges. Any help with technique or steps would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Contact cement the edges to hold everything in place and then machine stitch.

About halfway down the post here, Kevin shows how he does a wallet binding. Starts right where he says "30 inch piece of lambskin". This tutorial is also stickied down in the wallet section, so if you ever lose it you can find it again pretty quick.

Hi,

Is there any stitching done on the card compartments? If there is no stitching, can you let me know what lining did you use for the card compartment and how you do it?

Thanks.
