  1. Hi Chancey, My budget tops out at 1000 qatari rials (around 370US $ Shipping is around 70US $ On the little starter pieces I have done, I understand the work that goes into a seat, especially with the lacing and tooling. If I cant get someone hungry enough to do it in budget, I'd probably have a go at it myself. Thanks
  2. Hi Chancey, You've got some beautiful work mate, but 600 € is too rich for my budget. Thanks
  3. Fellas (and Ladies), Long story short, my bike got damaged getting shipped to the new country, so I'm in the market for a new seat. and for what I want, my skills aren't up to scratch What I'm after is a seat that looks like it has been on the bike for decades, scuffed, scratched, and worn in all the usual places. about 16" long by 12" wide, shaped like a La Rosa 16" seat with a decent kick up at the back, double loop lacing around the outside, and standard mounts Base colour wise, I'm thinkin something like this, bike is matte army green with brass highlights and soon to be blacked out engine, so if you got other colours you think would work better, say so: and now the fun part, this is a sketch a tattoo artist I have been following for years has done, but never fully completed that I want tooled on the seat: Now I gotta run all this past the Handbrake, so figure out what you would charge including shipping to Doha, Qatar and drop me a line Wok
  4. I've had this happen across multiple forums, it happens when you click a link either from email, or even a google search sometimes. it takes you to a page asking you to fill out a survey before it will take you to the link destination, and when you try and go back, one of those annoying pop-ups comes up asking if you really want to leave the page. I deleted cookies and ran spybot and managed to get rid of it for a while, but then it popped back up tonight. kinda wished I screencapped it
  5. The Tim Tams I can live without, (My wife, not so much) It's the whole "have to get a licence to buy your allowable quota of alchohol and pork" thing that's really killing me
  6. Funny ha ha funny? I figured that now I've moved out of the UAE and into Qatar and away from pretty much any supplier of anything (including spares for my Enfield, leather, riding gear thats not covered in HD emblems, decent mechanics, DOM tubing and Tim Tams) I'd have a crack at learning a new skill
  7. Ta Shtoink, Lucky I got my cat herding licence last year then. See the little town I grew up in had no grid electricity, so we used to attach cats to a water wheel (the other end, not the water side) and had a massive ebony ring that built up a charge that would power the town. Now there's only so much electricity you can get out of a cat per sitting, so we had herds that roam free in the fields and would swap them out twice a day. Not the most glamorous job, but much better than milking duty As for Crazy, well I'll try my best, but I reckon I might have a bit of trouble being naturally Sane
  8. Hey guys, I've got my heart set on the below image as a tooled design on a motorcycle seat, I was wondering if yall have any tips on determining which lines are cut and which are just modelled. I plan on doing the seat a single colour, using a diluted dye over the entire piece, then coming back with a stronger mix to add depth, but am worried that I'll lose too much definition from the original I know trial and error is the answer here, but as I live in the middle east, just about everything needs to be shipped from the UK or Europe and to be honest, it just plain sucks. Any help, tips, advice or offers of free candy gratefully accepted
  9. Hi, my name's Wokka and I like turtles.... There's a few names here that may now me from other non leather forums. so I wont bore you with my diatribe on why I hate baloon animals, or why my goldfish got stuck to the side of the tank because he had an iron deficiancy and Mike stuck a fridge magnet to the tank.... Anywho, I'm here for 3 reasons, 1. to learn a new skill, mostly related to the fabrication and tooling of motorcycle related items b. resources out here in Qatar are non existant iii I heard friday was chocolate cake with sprinkles and ice cream day See you round like a rissole Wok
