Some Of My Latest Work

Recommended Posts

Here are some of my latest project. I really need to invest in better thread, a better awl and some different dye colors. THe holsters came out okay but there is plenty of room for improvement.

Any and all criticisms are welcomed.

Looking good, Abram.

It is more work, but a continuation of stitching at the toe and along the top of the trigger guard would really dress up the front. There are two schools of thought...or really, three. No stitch groove at all, stitch groove only, and stitching. For pure asthetics I like stitching that circles the perimeter, at least on the front.

Thank you

Funny you should mention the stitching at the toe and along the top. I was showing a co-worker the pictures and he said that he loved how I had mad the groove all the way around but only stitched the areas that needed it. I have thought about stitching the whole groove I just have to figure out how to do it, any suggestions.

You would have to stitch before construction, meaning your patterns have to be pretty close.

Keep up the good work. I'd suggest creating a belt blank to mold the belt loops and make break in easier on your customer. It looks like you may have partially done this, could be the photo, they just look like they lay awful flat.

very nice, clean design....i like the look...stitch length looks a little long, but thats really just my preference, nothing critical...belt slots look very clean...

Thanks fellas.

Eaglestroke,

I do not have a belt blank and have been meaning to make one, hopefully I can do that is coming weekend.
