Mark The gusset is 4" wide and it is that width all the way around. I have tapered the gussets towards the top before and it is just easier to use with it the same width all around. It is a pear shader that makes the impressions and you lean it at all different angles when stamping. It just makes most of the little ridges on its own. It's hard to do and not get into a pattern.
