A challenging bag to make - VRod

Recommended Posts

This luggage bag was a real challenge. The backrest is at a slant so I had to make the bag kind of wedge shaped to fit on the luggage rack. It's not as huge as it looks in the picture. Just big enough to fit a helmet or jacket.

Very good engineering on this one Ian, it looks very well made as well.

Gotta be honest with you though, I can't say a VRod is supposed to have bags on it.

Awesome! I really need to learn how to make bags, I especially like the heavy duty yet clean look.

I agree. Vrods shouldn't have back rests either, but this guy rides all over with his wife and when you have wives on the back, you gotta have a place for stuff

That's a beautiful bag allthough the arguments wether it should sit on that motorcycle.

I love those folded in sides, it just looks so elegant and beautiful. Did you form them in a mold before sewing?

That's about as good as it gets there Ian!.

The hardware on it makes it look really sharp. Wicked awesome.

very nice Ian. lol as to the 'should vrods have bags' I know a site where 13000 people are torn over that debate. I personaly can't afford a vehicle thats strictly about form, mine has to function ergo bags on mine. this project goes in my keeper file. again very nice work!
