  1. I'm sorry to have to ask this, but I'm having a hard time picking the right color thread for a burgundy latigo bag. Color combinations.... I'm not very good with them. It's one of those areas I really need to see something to know what goes together. Thanks for any input on this!
  2. They came out really nice, and most important is you friend is happy with them. Always nice to make something that someone loves.
  3. That's awesome. Amazing artistry.
  4. This is what I guess would be like a toiletry bag, or something like that. Second attempt at making one. First time not dying the leather. My mom has been wanting one, and she really likes the look of natural leather. One of those things that as soon as I finished I knew what I would do different the next time. It was fun to make and learned doing it. Followed a pattern with is, but not really sure I like how the zipper is stitched. Next one I may run a saddle stitch or something. Just not sure how I feel about the look of the stitch as it is on this one, but it's secure and the zipper works. Critiques are more than welcome, and appreciated. Thanks for looking.
  5. Totally understand not being happy with the leather, but the finished product came out great. Add me to the love the colors group.
  6. I have been having a really hard time with using glue with leather. Mostly on zippers. I'm using them for a small toiletry type bag, and the pattern I'm using says to use rubber cement to glue the zipper in place before stitching. So far I haven't had much success with using rubber cement. It keeps pulling off as I stitch the zipper in. So I'm curious what others use for glue. I'd like to get this figured out because other projects I want to attempt all call for glueing the edges before stitching. Thanks in advance for an advice you may have.
