  1. thanks for the info for the manual ! printed it out and will oil machine will find out how much a servo motor will cost thanks again!
  2. Thanks for all the advice ! seems like i have an 167 63 with a zipper foot ... It works great on the cow hide i use for making bags with a 140 size 22 schmetz needle do you also have maintanance tips? i cleaned it and oiled it but i dont have a technical drawing showing all the oiling points...i just guessed a bit and couldnt find a manual online ;-)) i think i will look for a second machine on craigs list in holland i already have a pfaff 130 with a 1,5 amp motor but that doesnt work for thicker thread...and "the thread from the bobbin" (dont know all the english words) is never perfect always a bit loose so i spend a lot of time trying to get that ok ...time i would like to spend sewing! is there a machine (that maybe also does zigzag and) still strong enough for thin leather sewing with thicker thread? and if i dont want to spend a lot of money ... what is then a good choice? the adler dealer wich i called in holland for the spare parts and maybe have the machine serviced wasnt very nice told me that he doesnt want to service machines bought on craigs list. he said that i should contact the man wich i bought it from... going to try another company today now i know the model number! thanks again marrie
  3. Anyone has some tips for me about sewing thin layers of leather on the adler 167? I called a company in holland were i live and they told me that my machine is only for thick heavy leather.... Is that so? I need it for sewing leather lining in bags Like a small inside pocket with a zipper and so Thanks Marrie
  4. Ok sorry missed the link for the patterns but it works so thanks!
  5. Hi I tried to register at this site but failed ...Didnt work for me Do you still mail the patterns? If so could you mail them to Dirjeranna@gmail.com ? Thanks very much Marrie
  6. Hi I have sewn now for about a month on my adler 167 and it works great :-)) i even didnt have to change the speed of the motor ... With thick layers of leather it works great but thin layers of leather is a problem for me Is the machine just too strong for a thin layers or is it possible to make adjustments? The leather now just gets pressed together and doesnt sew nicely I tried thinner needles and less pressure on the upper thread... And does anyone have a good adress were i can buy extra foot for this sewing machine? The foot i now have is quite rough underneath and sometimes scratches ... And were i can get new screws for the "bottom plate" ? They are sticking out a bit and dont excactly fit the machine... Thanks in advance Marrie
