Hey Doug,

Love this case. The carving is great and I love the roughout concept.  Great way to carry a camera.

Thanx,

Storm

Doug,

Looks really good. I like the carving, and the lacing sets it off well. My wife is thinking she is needing one now...

Don't forget to also make her a pretty camera strap so she can wear the camera 'round her neck when it's not in it's case.

How come roughout design is not very common? It looks great and reminds me how stupid I am to carry around my camera equipment, couldn't fit my smallest lens in there , lol.

Did you leave the roughout without any type of treatment? Gotta ask since I've never delt with it before.

Great job and lovely tooling!

Tom,

The rough-out is what the customer wanted. I don't think I would of thought of using it myself. But it turned out well. Just a light coat of oil on the rough-out

The carved part of the bag was finished just as you said, Neat lac, then Sheridan Brown antique paste and a light coat of Tan Coat.

Thanks Doug!

I'm thinking if carved and dyed one would like to add something to seal in the colour.

Nice looking case. I like it. Rough out seems kinda like laying on the carpet with no shirt though. Makes me feel kinda itchy. lol I like the carving and lacing.
