  1. Hiya, Just finished a custom belt and pouches for a Bushcraft student. Made to his design. In side each of the angle bottom cylindrical pouches is a goatskin drawstring bag to hold kindling and other items to be kept dry. Thanks!
  2. Only just seen this topic :D In London I would highly recommend JT Batchelors in Islington. Ive had countless shoulders of veg tan off them for a very reasonable price. If you can go there all the better so you can spend an hour wandering through the warehouse packed with every type of leather you can imagine. They also do tools, fittings and dyes at an incredibly cheap price too. http://jtbatchelor.co.uk/
  3. Thanks for the welcome :D Yes, the gauntlets were a lot of fun! They are my biggest selling item and I must have made 50 over the last year! Am working on some new designs at the moment to keep choices fresh. Matt, im in Purley, which is Greater London, just south from Croydon.
  4. I too am interested in your opportunity, if you still require it. figmentleatherwork@hotmail.co.uk
  5. Hi all, Ive been a bit of a lurker here for a while and decided to take the plunge and post. I have been leather crafting for about 5 years now, but only really started making some things I was proud of in the last 2. About a year ago I was made redundant from my day job and thought I would have a crack at making leather items a business. Ive had moderate success, and make items for Steampunk, Larping, reenactment and stage and TV. There has been a clear trend to the year though, where im busy for a couple of months and then quiet for a couple. Anyway, Hi to all and thanks for maintaining this amazing resource :D I attach a couple of pics so you can see the kind of thing ive been doing. Adam
  6. Hiya, I recently got a price from a blacksmith to make a punch for cutting scales quickly and uniformly. It came in at £70 +VAT. Might be a cheaper way to get hold of a load of scales easily if you have the money up front. You may even be able to use it to make some cash yourself? Good luck :D
