Just pruchased an American Straight Needle, had one years past in my saddle shop and loved it...looking for hints/tips and uptodate info. I plan to stay busy making holsters and shooting related items as a hobby. Learning good Irish linen thread is near extinct...what nylon thread are you using? Thanks, Rooster

Thanks for the input, information was valuable...I bit the "bullet" and bought an Americal Straight Needle, I had one many years ago and "loved" it...my "flat" machine is a Neel Saddlery 6-9 which is ok for what I want it to do...Thanks again...this is an outstanding forum! Rooster sends
