  1. I am self employed at several agricultural and outdoor related jobs. My spring and summertime work is beekeeping. I run about 400 hives so I'm very small time, just a step above hobby status but its enjoyable work. I do a bunch of custom farming during that same timeframe, mostly corn and hay planting and production for the dairy guys. Come September, I am a hunting guide for big game critters here in the Rockies. Bighorn sheep, mtn goats, deer, elk, antelope, moose, and mountain lion keep me busy through December. From January thru March I do some contract depredation trapping and catch/collar mountain lions for the state research project on lion-vs-human interaction along our front range. Blessed to spend my daylight (and many times dark) hours in the outdoors, I haven't worked in the last 10 years!
  2. Search "granite" or "marble" on your local craigslist. Often you can get a scrap piece for cheap or free, left over from somebody remodeling a kitchen or bathroom. Contact a countertop fabrication shop. They'll always sell scrap pieces by the sqft and sometimes even give samples that would work for small stamping projects.
  3. Look around for someone that sells conveyor belt. It's sold by the foot in various widths. They can pull it off a giant roll and cut whatever length you want. Often, you can pick thru their remnants and get some for cheap!
  4. I'm wondering if anybody can give me a price basis or approx value on a used, in good condition, Ferdco Pro 440? I am looking at purchasing one but it's a chunk of change and I'm unfamiliar with what this model is worth.
