leaf patterns needed

Recommended Posts

I am looking for outlines of maple and oak leaves small enough to fit on a 1 1/4 inch belt. Does anyone have something I could use?

Do a Google search for line art, when you find something you like, print it, then reduce or enlarge to the size you need. Easy!

Hope this helps,

Bob

Tandy has a free downloadable pattern page on their site. You might check there.

If you can get it, George Hurst has a book out called "The Mighty Oak" that has a good bit of pictures. You can get it from Hidecrafters.

Hi TerryN,

I'm finishing up a project I hope will give you some inspiration. It's totally covered with Natural design leaves. I should have some pictures posted on here in a couple days. Just keep an eye out for it. Ed

For what it's worth, if you're close to a Tandy thing, they've got a book called how to carve leather that has a zillion leaf designs in it, many of which would lend themselves to be reduced. So does their Lucky 8 and Belts Galore books.

Happy Hammering! :)

Tandy also sell Peter Main's book on the The Al and Ann Stohlman personal patterns portfolio volume one, which has over 20 pages of oak leaf patterns some exclusively for belts.

we truly owe Peter Main a great debt of gratitude for his work on keeping Al and Ann's stuff in print.
