Holster For My Single Six

Recommended Posts

I built a holster for my Ruger Single Six and thought I would share. Finished it a few days ago and just got around to taking some pics. I wanted something that was not 1 solid color so I dyed it with light brown and used a piece of leather that had a bit of grain to it.

This is the first holster I have ever made.

Hold the revolver tight plus added a hammer retention. I am really happy with it.

Nice holster. After seeing that one I feel bad for my Ruger sitting in a rug in the safe. It should have a holster like yours!

Back to the bench to cut out the new holster !! Well, maybe tomorrow!!

The only advice that I can give you is that you should put your name on all of your work. You can do it freehand or with a maker's stamp, but it needs to be done. It really finishes a piece... and all artists sign their work, don't they?

You cannot see it but I do have my makers mark on the back. Its cut out of the pic.

I had one made when I started to make my knife sheaths.

Thanks
