Gum Sealant For Edges?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I was looking on internet on how to seal the edge of a leather piece and having learned already about burnishing I was looking to some other style I've seen on some leather stuff, like a gum effect.

I speak spanish so I google in spanish and I came across an argentinean company that produce something they called sealant (see the video below)

Question: Do you know another products that works like this one? These guys only sells in argentina.

I make my own edge seal. I use pearl glue and sometimes wallpaper size. I make a tiny amount at a time as it goes of fast.

I get about 3 or 4 tea spoons then add warm water. it should feel tacky to the touch. If you have made it right it will set like gel. to get it liquid again put it in the microwave for a few seconds or stand your jar in a bowl of hot water. A lot of the trade in Walsall still use this also
