leatheroo Report post Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) Just got back from our bushland holiday and had to get a quick LW fix!!! We stayed at a bushland resort, very nice resort with villas, pool, spa, sauna, squash and tennis courts, games rooms etc. Some nice wildlife on the resort property, here is what i saw out my window in the morning My brother lives nearby and these live there too Unfortunately a lot of roos seem to get hit by cars, i saw at least 5 dead roos over the week. On the way to one historical location, there was a dead roo on the side of the road and a smaller live one on the other side just sitting there...on the way back, about 2 hours later, he was still sitting there looking very sad..probably the one killed was a mate or family member...here he is in the photo below We were in the goldfields area of Victoria and we took a deep mine tour...100 metres down and explored the mines for 2 1/2 hours...got to use a mine drill and also panned for some gold. We got a few small pieces!!! I would like to say that i am the blond on the left, but no...thats no me!! So now its back to reality and back to work next week... When I was a kid my parents took me and my brother to Colorado where we went through a couple of mines they have out there. Sounds like you enjoyed yourself. Thanks for sharing.
