Bulldog Mask From Banwell Pattern

Recommended Posts

I posted the part-finished mask already in Tom Banwells thread and said I'd start a new one when I got it finished and here we are. :)

Lessons learnt - the pattern pieces don't line up exactly, especially on the brow. 2.5mm veg is just a tad thick to bend around the stitching, again especially on the brow :P Cut the nostrils BEFORE you stitch the nose together, dummy!

This was a definite challenge, I really enjoyed making it, even with the cursing :P

Heh... that part made me laugh. People ask me why it takes me so long to get started.... it's because i try to think of everything and write out a process plan BEFORE I cut leather.

The mask turned out very nice. It almost looks real to me.

Great job! That is not an easy mask to put together.

No, I certainly agree there! I'm trying to work on the muzzle as a friend wants a dog mask like this but closer to a Labrador or Husky (they have 1 of each) but so far the results have been terrible :) Would you have any hints?
