What Size Thread Comes On The Sewing Awl Spools?

Recommended Posts

I have been using these spools for hand stitching that I pick up from my local Tandy reseller. I like the size but buying in these quantities is not very cost effective. I want to buy larger quantities from an online source, but I don't know what size this is. It seems to be about the thickness of a dime or maybe a little less. Anybody know?

it is waxed triple strand pre wound nylon thread.

I use this from springfield it is a little heavier than the thread for the awl spools but it sews nicely for heavy leather projects like holsters, gun belts and projects of that nature works well for chaps and possibles bags as well.
