badger Report post Posted December 4, 2008 I have a Midas 'standard swivel knife', still in it's blister display pack, unopened. It says it's made by the Kelly Tool Co. New Zealand. Am I right in thinking the company no longer exists? Does anybody know anything about these knives? It's brass and wood with a black metal finger cradle. If you do some searches on Ebay there's a couple of them up there right now and bidding is between $26-51 but my guess it's going to end much higher. Cheers, Karl I'm making an educated guess here based on cross referenced descriptions between Weaver's catalog and Zack White's catalog. What size of barrel does it have? I just started carving, and in my tool trading and buying, I ended up with a Midas Swivil knife with the small barrel, I realy like it, but If I could find one with the bigger barrel, I would like to get muy hands on one!
